Here are my favorite tracks from the albums I’ve reviewed over the past week on this website. The artists are in the order I reviewed them, with the songs in my order of preference.
Drunkdriver – “The Accident” & “Network”
I absolutely loved this album, so instead of trying to figure out which tracks I liked better than others, I’ll list the entire track list. All I can say is, from the opening blast of feedback to the closing fading noise, it’s a chilling trip down Misery Lane.
Drunkdriver – “Choking Hazard” & “Haunting”
Drunkdriver – “Half Mist” & “Quality of My Life”
Drunkdriver – “Prison Logic” & Bad Year
Drunkdriver – “All the Dead Dogs”
Phantom Glue – “Ross the Boss”
The opening track on Phantom Glue’s eponymous debut really sums up the Karp/*Electric Wizard* synthesis that dominates the album.
Phantom Glue – “Black Tar”
Big Business does stoner rock?
Phantom Glue – “Pilgrim”
A rollicking sludge-fest.
Phantom Glue – “Scabman”
The album’s closing track is a slithering Black Sabbath-style dirge.
Phantom Glue – “Gog and Magog”
A filthy, grinding aural attack.
