SXSW 2018 is upon us and Austin, TX is a hectic mess, I’m sure, but if you’re there, you’ll also get to hear some amazing music from some awesome acts/artists and connect with people from all walks of life sharing a passion for music. I did a quick flip through the official SXSW gist online and here is my DON’T MISS LIST.
I’m sure I’ve skipped over a bunch of winners because I was too brisk in skimming over the SXSW directory, but here are my main picks in SoundCloud playlist form.
So if you go to SXSW, don’t forgo the following, IMO (This is like a ‘fantasy sports’ rundown, except it’s for music – LOL).

7. Peelander-Z – Off-the-wall wild ‘n’ fun Japanese punk/pop band
8. Ringo Deathstarr – Top of the crop of newer shoegaze/noise-rock bands.
9. Superchunk – Long-running, renowned indie rock band.
10. The Veldt – Seminal shoegaze/psych-soul band.
