After a busy 2021 of releasing two EPs and a single, Long Beach CA’s Morning Eagle is releasing a split record with friend and longtime collaborator, Luxury Practice.

The record includes two songs from each artist and will be offered on a limited edition cassette via Setterwind Records. You can listen to the first single from the record “Racing Team” now on all streaming platforms. Pre-orders are up now on the Setterwind Records’s Bandcamp page. Each tape comes with a limited printed zine with contributions from both artists and other collaborators.

Luxury Practice is the solo project of musician and audio engineer Alex Lombardi. LP has been in the works for about a decade with only a few demos to show for it – until now. For fans of “alt-rock” with a focus on vocal melodies, from a modest dude that loves pop songwriting.

Musician and producer Nick May started demoing songs in Philadelphia as far back as 2018 for the project that would later be called Morning Eagle. After relocating to Long Beach CA in 2019, the demos saw new life and became more structured songs.

In January of 2021, he released the Slide EP which was promptly followed up by Fantasy Parade in September of the same year. Both records were released as a limited edition cassette via Michigan-based Setterwind Records. May combines psychedelic punk with grunge and shoegaze, as he aims to please fans still yearning for the vibes of the ’90s alternative scene. There is a new record to be released in late 2022.
