This Aussie quartet — featuring Nick Seymour of Crowded House on bass, singer Matt O’Donnell, singer/songwriter Steve Paix and drummer Josh Barber — have gained a sizable international following from their individual projects throughout the years and since officially forming as Tarmac Adam in 2001. The Melbourne-based band, last seen stateside on tour for 2013’s The History Effect, will release its third album, In Place, on Friday; we’re delighted to bring it to you today as an exclusive stream.
Sonically lush, stately, at times majestic, but struck through with heart and humanity, In Place is a stirring work of progressive pop. Highly recommended for fans of Grant McLennan, Peter Gabriel, and Mew.
Pre-order In Place from Bandcamp.
