“Through social media we asked fans to submit short video clips of themselves wearing a “Hello, my name is…” sticker, explained Morgan Christopher Geer, who performs solo and with band as Drunken Prayer. “The response was a little overwhelming so I was only able to use the footage that had an obvious place in the song.
“There were a lot of great submissions that unfortunately didn’t make the cut,” lamented Geer, whose new album, The Devil And The Blues, came out last month on Portland, Oregon’s Fluff & Gravy Records. “I’m lucky to have some pretty weird and dedicated fans.
“The video hopefully reinforces the humanistic nature of the song.” he added. “Not to worry, we’re all accepted — the plain, the wrecked and the graceful. I think all of us are potentially all of those things, all the time.”
