Album Premiere: The Dandelion War

We at BigTakeover.com were taken with We Were Always Loyal To Lost Causes, the sophomore album from Oakland’s The Dandelion War. Two years later, they’ve returned with Opposite Shores, and for all our love for their previous album, we’re absolutely thrilled to share it with you today. Recorded at Tiny Telephone with a focus on analog recording, Opposite Shores carries forth Lost Causes’ strengths while being an amazing leap forward, especially lead singer Larry Fernandez‘s vocal prowess. Amazingly simultaneously ethereal and earthy, Opposite Shores is a powerful 30-minute trip into a world that is not your home.

We happen to think it’s a fourth-quarter entry into the end of the year “best of 2014” lists, but we’ll leave you to make that decision. Enjoy!
