The Bone Chimes is a New York-based orchestral indie-pop project fronted by Tobi D’Amore (vocals/guitar), with Sarah Hund (violin/backing vocals), Ben Dobay (woodwinds), Tom Rizacassa (bass), and Vinny Bang (drums). Their debut album, In the Muck, was released in 2013 and boasts influences ranging from classic acts like Buddy Holly and Stevie Wonder to contemporary acts like Dave Matthews Band and Tom Waits.
The band’s new single, “Walk Away,” is a four-minute mini-suite, swooping and soaring through riveting twists and turns. It’s something special, have a listen.
