California rock band New Earth Farmers returns Sep. 25 with Cure For The Late Bloom, a powerful collection of guitar-driven songs that confront artificial intelligence, social division, grief, resilience, and the search for meaning without losing sight of hope. Drawing inspiration from the soulful rock and songwriter records of the 1970s while delivering a sound that’s unmistakably their own, the album pairs soaring harmonies, memorable hooks, and fiery guitar work with thoughtful, deeply human lyrics. Rather than dwelling in dystopia, Cure For The Late Bloom offers a compelling reminder that creativity, compassion, and rock & roll still have the power to bring people together.
Featuring songwriters Paul Michael Knowles and Nicole Storto, original The Alarm drummer Nigel Twist, and acclaimed guitarist James DePrato (Chuck Prophet), the album pairs heartfelt storytelling, lush harmonies, and thoughtful musicianship with songs that explore love, loss, resilience, and finding hope in uncertain times. The second single from their forthcoming album Cure For The Late Bloom (due Sep. 25 on Windfall Records), “Be All The Love” arrives Sep. 18 and channels the optimistic spirit of soul and funk into a message about choosing love, rejecting deception, and finding our way forward together.
Paul Michael Knowles explains:
“The vibe of this one was inspired by my workout playlist which is made up of Staple Singers, Curtis Mayfield, and other funk inspired soulful songs that I used to hear on the radio back in the 70s. It’s an optimistic take on where we can go in the future as a culture if we just move forward with love.”
