Barcelona psych rockers Stay are back with Always Here EP (colored 7” vinyl by Fruits de Mer Records, digital by Picture In My Ear Records). The EP, which releases on September 25th, includes the single “Always Here’” produced by Owen Morris (The Verve, Oasis) plus three neo-psychedelic covers versions from late ’60s UK and USA hits by Buffalo Springfield )“Rock and Roll Woman”), The Kinks (“Where Have All The Good Times Gone”), and early Bee Gees (“Every Christian Lion Hearted Man Will Show You”), as well as a remix of Stay’s jingle-jangle Byrds*y “You Know It’s Right” by *Claudius Mittendorfer (Temples, Johnny Marr) with guest Andy Bell (Ride, Oasis) on guitars. The physical EP also includes another surprise inside: A full HD ‘Making Of’ documentary film on DVD about the recording sessions of The Mean Solar Times album (Stay’s current fifth LP).

The first official music video for the EP is for “Always Here”, a song about friendship, its hypocrisy, and its false expectations. The video is directed by the young Catalan producer Joan Bosch and shaped by the brilliant performance of 11-year old actor Ismael Palacios. The recording session took place in Madrid in July of this year.
