Providence, Rhode Island’s Structure Sounds fuse visceral, high energy punk rock, sugary melodic hooks, and a sonic palette informed by blues, hardcore, noise and americana to create something of a novelty: a unique-sounding rock & roll band. Founded by members of The Scandals, Howl and The Down and Outs in 2022 releasing their first single and video ‘Break Me’ in December of that year.
“Waves” is their second single from the act, bringing in a totally new sound from their previous release calling back to influences from Bad Religion, A Wilhelm Scream and Hot Water Music.
Sean Patrick Carney (guitarist and songwriter) says “Waves is a high energy song that encapsulates my favorite things about Punk Rock. It is fast, melodic and lyrically diverse. The video was filmed by my wife and I on a cold windy day on the beaches of Rhode Island. I think we perfectly captured the mood of the song.”
Details will be announced later this summer on the full LP from the group.
