Built from a hybrid process, with some tracks shaped through live performance and others emerging spontaneously in the studio, the album thrives on the tension between control and chaos. That push and pull gives Dose its pulse.
From the very beginning introduction of “Loading…”, the band favors flow over structure, with tracks bleeding into one another in a way that rewards front-to-back listening. “Another Castle,” with its playful nods to retro gaming, stands out as a moment of levity, but it fits naturally within the album’s restless energy. Across the record, references to history, psychedelics, and life on the road collide in dense, fuzz-heavy arrangements that rarely settle.
