If you’re going to make a return after a few years, what better way to do it than with a catchy, hand-clapping pop number? That’s exactly what Seattle-based indie-poppers Math and Physics Club have done. This two-song single is a sampler for Our Hearts Beat Out Loud, recorded by Bob Schwenkler. From these two songs, the album sound quite lovely; the A-side is easily their catchiest today, and, to quote the song, “It’s my all-time favorite and it might just save me in the end.” The flip-side, “Across The Paper,” is a mellow, slightly melancholy affair, with the enjoyable plucking of ukuleles delivering the melody. It’s all charming and sublime, and it will make you impatient for that new album!
