Sammy Haney is a Bay Area, CA event photographer and has been covering live music since their days in college in Atlanta, GA. The artists they have photographed over the last 35 years include The Ramones, Richard Thompson, The Jesus and Mary Chain, The Minutemen, Black Flag, Husker Du, Warren Zevon and many others. Music has ruled their life ever since 3rd grade when they traded their lunch money and some snacks for a copy of The Beatles’ Abbey Road.
The weekend of October 16th and 17th saw the return of live music to Mosswood Park in Oakland with the 2021 Halloween Meltdown, hosted by John Waters. Fans, many in costume, crowded into the park’s concrete bowl to mosh, crowd surf, or just sit and take in the 17 bands who played over the weekend.
