Noam Fainer - London Dreaming (Fainer Forever)

Noam Fainer wrote and recorded “London Dreaming” in a moment of great pain. He was dreaming of moving to London and perusing a music career there, but was stuck in a daytime job in the “deserts of Israel and living at his parents house.” After releasing the song, as he started his daytime shift at the cafe at 6:00 am he found out that the song was featured by none other then Frank Ocean, as the closer of his Apple Music Homer Radio show (Episode 15)
This day changed his life and two months later he was touring the unknown pubs of London playing this song, and others with his brother Itamar and his band.

A true artist and songwriter world-renowned for his prolific, heartfelt alt-rock love songs, Stephen has released ten albums to date, with his eleventh on the way. He is produced by Steve Albini. His body of work was culled from a lifetime of experiences, including those as an engineer, a Hollywood actor, a custom builder, and a TV host. Though Stephen lives in Charlottesville, Virginia, his family hails from New Orleans and New York. His Italian grandfather was a multi-instrumentalist during the roaring 20s and an aunt on the French side of his family was a fabulous blues singer. His music was influenced by great rock and punk bands heard throughout the mid-Atlantic in his 20s and 30s, as well as by a good friend — a Beatles fan — who introduced him to his first chords on an acoustic guitar at age 16. Stephen currently writes all of his music and performs in the Charlottesville, Virginia, area.

John Beckmann’s latest contribution to the genre, HANUSSEN: The Enigmatic Clairvoyant, encompasses all three aspects, especially the nuance of labor, which places the body at the center of the human experience. As both the giver and receiver of energies, the body is a conduit between the seen and the unseen. Like this album’s namesake, Erik Jan Hanussen (1889-1933), the Vienna-born Jewish mystic who became a psychic advisor of sorts to Adolf Hitler, the music puts its finger on the pulse of something always within in plain sight yet rarely articulated.

George Marinelli was Bonnie Raitt’s right hand man on guitar for 30 years. Before that he was a founding member of the Grammy winning band Bruce Hornsby and the Range. He’s always been a sideman, band guy, and a session player, but constantly writing, recording, and releasing his own solo albums. He was born on Staten Island, New York, into a blue collar Italian-Catholic family, surrounded by diversity in both people, food, and most importantly music. His parents and older sisters instilled a love of a variety of music, from Big Band, Afro-Cuban, Rock & Roll, and Reggae, all of which find their way into his playing and his music. Most recently he’s been producing and mixing for other artists in his studio, WingDing, and recording and readying his latest album, Except Always. It’s a two CD set of nine new songs and a seventeen song retrospective of past albums to be released on Loud Folk Records on May 17, 2024.
